MPA Dispatch

Description:

MPADispatch is a PHP website, intended to be viewed in a browser on a desktop. The website shows a view of groups of Blackberry smartphones reporting GPS co-ordinates, and the devices and their associated users are tracked on the map in near real time.

Features:

 

Groups defined with the Active Directory, or within the MPAAdministrator can be selected.
Besides the selected group, there is an ‘Ad Hoc’ group facility, to cover ‘the exta persons on shift today, or any folks working overtime, or just otherwise on duty.
The map is typically centered on a ‘default centre and zoom level.
Commands can be sent to device to change their reporting interval.
Specific users can be ‘called up’ and their movement history can be reviewed

Refresh: will occur every ‘n’ seconds, where ‘n’ is configurable. Map will be refreshed to show current positions of Officers in the list panel at the bottom.

Group: A User will see list of all Groups, and may choose to display positions of “All Officers”, or Officers of a selected Group.

Poll Interval: Can be set to every ‘n’ seconds for ‘m’ minutes. This operation is applied to the selected user(s) when the ‘Set’ button is pressed

Poll Now will send a command to each BlackBerry device, via the BES, to respond with a most recent position, as soon as possible.

Ad Hoc: There is a requirement to be able to dynamically add (multiple) individual officers to the selected group. Illustrated is the Group Mobinnoco, plus Test,G (in green).

Clicking the [X] to the right of the Green user Test,G will remove this Ad Hoc member from the tracking list.

Clicking on ‘Officer’ (in Officer list or on icon in map) will display “balloon” information, and leave balloon in place, with links in balloon for:
a) refresh current position
b) report every n seconds for next m minutes
c) show last [m] hours – “display trail”
d) within the Balloon there are controls to see first, last, next and previous positions for the selected officer
